Now its Shahrukh's turn in Maharashtra
Mumbai, Sep 9: After Bachchans now its Shahrukh Khan in line of fire in Maharashtra. On Tuesday, Sep 9, the Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamna' carried an editorial which lashed out at SRK for being a 'Dilliwala'. "Shah Rukh says he is a Dilliwala. If you are from Delhi, then why have you come to Maharashtra," Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray said in the editorial. "You come to Maharashtra to earn fame and wealth but once you have had your fill, then you will evoke the name of the region from where you came from. And Marathi people are expected not to utter a word in their own state," Thackeray added.
On Monday, Sep 8 Bollywood actor and MP Jaya Bachchan's 'anti-marathi' comments had irked Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) supremo Raj Thackeray. Jaya apologised for her remarks after MNS activists went on a rampage in Maharashtra tearing off posters of films featuring members of the Bachchan family.
Jaya said her comments were unintentional and said that no one should take them seriously.
