RGIA to emerge as cargo hub in India
Hyderabad, Sep 9 (UNI) The first two air charters--boeing 474-200 and one of the world's biggest cargo plane-- boeing 747-400F landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad during the weekend to pick up cargo.
These flights marked the first step in GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited's (GHIAL) endeavour to make RGIA, a truly world-class cargo hub, GHIAL Chief Commerical Officer Viswanath Attaluri said in a statement here.
Being at the geographical centre of India, Hyderabad offers a great advantage for logistics movements of cargo both within India and connecting Southeast Asia and Middle East, Europe and USA, he said.
