Purnia, Sep 9: AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive here on a two-day visit to the flood-ravaged districts of north Bihar.
Official sources said Mr Gandhi would arrive at the Bagdogra airport near Siliguri in north Bengal at around 1300 hrs and later proceed to Purnia town by road.
After a brief halt here and visiting some of the relief camps, Mr Gandhi along his entourage would go to Araria to visit some camps and interact with the flood victims. He would also distribute relief material among the victims.
After a night halt at Farbesganj, Mr Gandhi would visit the flood-hit areas and several more relief camps in the worst-affected Madhepura, Supoul and Araria districts before leaving for Gorakhpur in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, in the evening en route to New Delhi, the sources added.
However, it has not yet been confirmed who will be accompanying the AICC General Secretary on his two-day visit.
