Official machinery will go to villages to solve problems: CM
Shimoga, Sep 9 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yedyurappa today said that district officials would from now on hold a meeting at village level once in a month to solve problems of the people at their door step.
Addressing a press conference in his home district on the occasion of completion of 100 days of the BJP rule in the state, he said on any one of the Saturday's excepting the second Saturday, officials would sit in meetings organised in villages and take on the spot decisions to solve local issues.
Respective Deputy and Assistant Commissioners would visit and inspect three Hoblis every month. Tahashildars and all the departments officials would be present at Hobli on these days in order to facilitate government works to reach ordinary people without delay.
He defended the government's controversial decision to handover of 600 acres of land for cattle breeding center in Chikamagalur district to Ramachandrapur Mutt and said whoever come forward to take up such useful activities, government was ready to help.
He said that government is satisfied with the present work of Ramachandrapur Mutt on keeping the indigenous cattle breed intact.
