Puducherry, Sep 9: Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs V Narayanasamy today urged the BJP and Left Parties to drop 'wrong propaganda' on the nuclear deal considering the industrial and economic development of the country.

Detailing the advantages of the Indo-US Nuclear Deal to the press here,Mr Narayanasamy accused the BJP of trying to gain political mileage out of it by organising agitations with the Left joining them 'ignoring principles.' On Left's charges India deviated from it's principles on nuclear sector, Mr Narayanasamy said the country had adopted only one policy on the issue since the days of Pandit Jawharlal Nehru.

He claimed the new government here under Mr V Vaithilingam had received appreciation from all sections of the people, particularly with schemes like Rs 30 subsidy on LPG cylinders.

By sharing portfolios without any hitch, the Chief Minister allowed his Cabinet collegues to function independently.

Mr Narayanasamy said the Chief Minister would visit New Delhi with his Ministers and present a report on the immediate financial requirement of Rs 352 crore for the union territory.

Mr Narayanasamy said he would extend all assistance to help Puducherry secure the assistance from the Centre.

Reitrating his demand for the introduction of Goondas Act in the Union Territory,Mr Narayanasamy claimed the law and order had been in shambles for quite some time calling for a change.

On the reported demand of DMDK Leader Vijayakanth electricity generated by NLC should be used only for Tamil Nadu only, Mr Narayansamy said being a Central Government institution, the power generated by it should be shared by all States requiring power.
