Lucknow, Sep 9 (UNI) Condemning the attack on BJP MP Yogi Adityanath in Azamgarh, senior party leader and former MP Kalraj Mishra demaded tight security cover for Adityanath.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Mr Mishra said eastern UP and Azamgarh had turned into a hub of terrorist and communal activities.
He said India was facing threat of terrorists, who had made their way in the state and were channelising their network from here.
Making scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party, he said SIMI was banned for it's anti-nation activities, however, whenever pointer was raised on the organisation SP and other political parties had stood beside it.
They did not even hesitate to compare the terrorist organisation SIMI with Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and other Hindu organisations, he added.
He further said Uttar Pradesh was turning a kin to Jammu&Kashmir, where terrorism had percolated to the roots of the state.
Demanding to beef up security of Adityanath, he said terrorism was a major concern for the country.
