Bidhuri on verge of deserting NCP; resigns from party posts
New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Taking the first step towards joining the Congress in the season of alliances ahead of the assembly polls, Delhi Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri today announced the relinquishment of ''all party posts''.
Making known his move in the presence of two party Councillors, who too have resigned from all party posts and the NCP, Mr Bidhuri said he had taken the step to strengthen the alliance against communal forces.
''The recent incidents in Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, where Gujjars were treated badly by BJP workers, have left me with no option but to strengthen the party which alone is capable of tackling the menace of the communal BJP.'' With a long history of changing parties, including the Congress twice, the Gujjar leader said his joining any party would be unconditional.
