Noida, Sep 9: Aarushi murder case or the Noida double murder case continues to be a mistery to CBI. Even after two months of investigation CBI is still looking for evidence to file chargesheet against the three accused. They may have to let Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal go free-for lack of evidence.
On Tuesday, Sep 9 CBI sources said that no chargesheet will be filed in the sensational Aarushi murder case 'for the time being' as investigation was incomplete. This decision of CBI will pave the way for release of Krishna the key accused in the case on bail on expiry of the stipulated 90 day period for filing chargesheet which expires on September 13.
The investigation is incomplete and we will not be filing a chargesheet, said Neeraja Gotru, the Deputy Inspector General of CBI to the media. CBI had announced an award of Rs 1 lakh for any information on the murder weapon and the mobile phones.
The CBI also said that it did not find anything against Rajesh Talwar, father of Aarushi. “There is no evidence against Dr Talwar," CBI officials said.
14 year old Aarushi was found murdered at her Noida home on May 16 and the domestic help Hemraj was found dead in terrace on the next day. UP police first arrested Dr Rajesh Talwar, Aarushi's father on charges of murder. Later due to lack of evidence he was released. It was the CBI investigation that led to the arrest of Krishna, RajKumar and Vijay Mandal, the three accused of killing Aarushi and Hemraj.
Krishna worked as a compounder to Aarushi's dentist father Rajesh Talwar, while Vijay Mandal and Raj Kumar were domestic helps, respectively, to a neighbour of Talwar and to friends of Talwar, the Durranis.
Vijay Mandal was released on bail on Friday, Sep 4 2008. Rajkumar's (from whose house a blood stained T-shirt was found) bail plea is in Court for hearing, while the key accused Krishna bail plea is defered till Sep 19.
