JK Curfew: Poonch-Rawalakote bus suspended
Jammu, Sep 9: The bus service between Poonch and Rawalakote, which was suspended due to curfew was resumed almost after two-weeks and witnessed an all time heavy rush of passengers, who swapped the borders at Chakkan-da-Bagh on Line of control (LOC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.
''The bus that was suspended due to curfew in Poonch town following communal clashes over amarnath land row, resumed after two-weeks yesterday while maximum of 340 passengers crossed the (LOC),'' official sources told uni.
The bus between Poonch-Rawlakote that was started as a part of Confidence Building Measures (cbm) between India and Pakistan has been pressed into weekly service instead of fortnightly to accommodate the heavy rush of visitors, who had to return to Rawalakote in the Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) and to come back to Poonch on the Indian side.
