14-day Police remand for Nagori, 4 aides in Blast case
Ahmedabad, Sep 9 (UNI) A Local court today remanded Safdar Nagori, one of the key conspirators of the July 26 Ahmedabad serial bomb blasts, and his four accomplices, including his brother Kamruddin, to police custody till September 23.
Metropolitan Magistrate G M Patel, after hearing agruments of both sides, remanded the accused to 14-days police custody for their alleged involvement in the Gujarat Terror plot, that rocked the entire state between July 26-30, leading to deaths of 60 people.
The Ahmedabad Crime Branch, the main investigating agency of the serial bomb blasts case, today produced Narogi and his accomplices before the court on the expiry of one-day judicial custody, awarded by the same court yesterday.
Earlier, the Metropolitan Court had sent quintel to police remand for 10 days on August 25 and later extended it for another five days on September 3.
Seeking further 14-day remand, police said the accused were earlier in a Madhya Pradesh jail and had hatched the blast conspiracy there. Police wanted to ascertain, who were their other accomplices.
