Kohima, Sep 8 (UNI) A joint team of Nagaland Police, Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) and Assam Rifles (AR) conducted flash out operation here at Aradhura area yesterday and seized cache of arms and ammunitions.
Assam Rifle sources said today that the joint team conducted raids in the area to flush out the underground cadres for the safety and security of the civilians.
During the raid they found two abondoned houses used as hideout by the cadres.
From one of the houses, the AR jawans recovered 122 rounds of live bullets of AK-47, two packets,100 grams each of highly explosive powder and one Chinese grenade.
However, the underground militants managed to escape the site.
The 'flash out' operations were being conducted in all the districts of Nagaland as per the guidelines given by the Union ministry of Home Affairs under the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
