Hisar, Sep 8 (UNI) The management of Agroha Medical College today stressed that Haryana government had not stopped the grant to the College as ''rumoured in certain section of media and other quarters''.
"The rumour of stoppage of the government grant to Agroha Medical College, is baseless. We had sought permission for new courses and wanted to double the seats of MBBS cours and the government has just advised us to introduce these under self-finance scheme," said general secretary, AMC management Ashok Goyal, while talking to newspersons here today.
He said the management planned to start six new courses at MS and MD level, to introduce B.Sc Nursing and increase seats of MBBS from 50 to 100.
''The expenditure would obviously increase. We had requested the government for enhancement of aid. At present, we have been advised to add new courses under self-finance scheme. However, the request was still under consideration and communication on this regard is continuing,'' he said.
