Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today warned of a blanket ban on the release of movies starring the Bachchan family in Maharashtra till Samajwadi party MP Jaya Bachchan apologised to the people of the state for her remarks, proclaiming her love for the Hindi language.
During the music release of the film 'Drona', featuring her son Abhishek last saturday, Jaya said, ''Hum Uttar Pradesh ke log hain, isliye Hindi mein baat karenge. Maharashtra ke log maaf kariye.'' Addressing a press conference here this evening, Raj said her remarks had hurt Maharashtrians, and till Jaya Bachchan apologised, ''we will ensure that their films are not screened in the state.''
