Bhubaneswar,Sep 8 (UNI)Police today seized 53 pieces of ivory from two persons staying in college square area, Cuttack.
Commissioner of Police office here said acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid and seized the ivory from the possession of one Pramod Mohanty and Kishore Kumar Nayak.
While Pramod is a resident of Tihidi village under Balikuda Police station of Jagatsinghpur district, Kishore belonged to Karilopatna village under Patkura Police station in Kendrapara district.
Police said 53 pieces were polished and some others were raw. Police said both the case would be handed over to the Forest Department for further action.
