Mandi, Sep 8 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Congress today took exception the registeration of an FIR against former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and nine other top party leaders for alleged violation of prohibitory orders on Friday last.
''This has exposed the fascist face of Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in particular and BJP in general'', state Congress President Kaul Singh said in a statement here.
Police had registered the FIR against ten Congress leaders for violating Section 144 of the IPC by addressing a protest rally of teachers belonging to the Parent-teacher Association.
Mr Kaul Singh said the people of the state were fed up with what he called the "dictatorial style" of functioning of the Chief Minister and added the common man had been disillusioned with the BJP Government.
He said the BJP government was suffering from ego since it came to power and its intolerance even to the decision of the judicial tribunal reached a climax when it dissolved the decades old Administrative Tribunal which had cancelled the "politically-motivated" and "mala-fide" transfers. The government employees have now been deprived of speedy justice, he added.
He alleged that the Dhumal government was now toying with an idea of terminating the services of PTA teachers which would not be tenable under the law.
