Rs 2 lac for deceased woman teacher: CM
Chandigarh, Sep 8: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday, Sep 8 announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of the woman teacher, Raj Rani, who lost her life in the agitation by guest teachers in Rohtak yesterday. In a statement issued, the Chief Minister described it as a "very unfortunate incident which occurred due to evil designs of some anti-social elements who, in the guise of teachers, resorted to firing indiscriminately".
Mr Hooda said that he has always kept the teachers in high esteem and has given them a number of incentives. As some opponents were not able to digest the success of his Government, they were trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the state.
Mr Hooda said that a magisterial inquiry had been ordered and investigation by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak would reveal the truth that whose bullet killed and injured teachers. Those found guilty would be dealt with sternly, he added.
