Panaji, Sep 8 (UNI) Congratulating Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi on getting the nod from Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) countries on the US-India nuclear deal, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Francisco Sardinha today said with this, the dream vision of Dr Singh and Ms Gandhi will come true.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Mr Sardinha said, ''Dr Singh has taken care of all the country's angles.'' He blamed the Orissa government for its ineffiency in not arresting the culprits responsible for the murder of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and four of his companions. It led to communal violence in which Christians were targeted and Catholic institutions were destroyed.

Mr Sardinha said no one should be blamed unless the Orissa government arrest those who killed the five people, including swami, and CBI inquiry be immediately instituted.

Archbishop of Goa and Daman had also called on the people of the state to show their solidarity with the Catholics in Orissa and had appealed not to remain indifferent in such a situation, he said.

When asked about the derogatary statement made by former state finance Minister Dayanand Narvekar on Goa government and Chief Minister Digamber Kamat recently in the public meeting, Mr Sardinha said Chief Minister had taken note of it and the party also brought it to the notice of the AICC general secretary Hari Prasad. The issue would be discussed with Mr Narvekar soon, he added.
