Srinagar, Sep 8 (UNI) Three senior separatist leaders have been under house arrest in the Kashmir valley for the last eight days as a precautionary measure, official sources said.

Chairman of moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik were put under house arrest on September one, soon after their release from week-long detention.

Sources said a large number of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police personnel have been deployed outside the house of Mirwaiz Omar, who has not being allowed to move out.

Similarly CRPF and police personnel have also been deployed outside the residence of Mr Geelani.

A large number of CRPF personnel were also placed outside the JKLF headquarter and Mr Malik's hosue at Maisuma near here.

Earlier, all the three leaders were arrested by police on August 24 and 25 to prevent them from participating in the Lal Chowk chalo march on August 25, call for which was given by the Coordination Committee (CC) spearheading the present agitation in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the CC, trade, employees and social and religious organisations, have called for another 'Lal Chowk chalo' on October 6.
