Cancer-struck Jade Goody has no grudges against dad

London, Sept 8 : Jade Goody has revealed that her diagnosis with cancer has reduced her hatred for her drug addict father.

The Big Brother star's dad Andrew began drugs at 12 and committed various offences to pay for his habit.

He was in and out of jail, including a four-year stretch for robbery. He finally died in 2005 aged 42 from a suspected heroin overdose.

Mum-of-two Goody has refused for years to have any contact with him and even declined to attend his funeral three years ago.

"My dad's death was a strange experience. I'd never shown any forgiveness for how he'd behaved when I was growing up," the Sun quoted her, as saying.

"I'd barely acknowledged his existence. And, although I desperately needed to say goodbye, I wasn't ready," she added.

However, now, she says her illness has changed her feelings.

"One of the first things I want to do is to make amends with my dad - put flowers on his grave," she said.

"He's dead for God's sake, to still have such hatred for him is ridiculous," she added.
