BJP Government completes 100 days in Karnataka
Bangalore, Sep 8 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party, which made in roads in South by coming to power in Karnataka, will be celebrating 100 days tomorrow on the backdrop of criticism over 'Operation Lotus' launched to woo the legislators from Congress and its previous coalition partner Janata Dal (Secular) Functions have been organised through out the State to celebrate the day with the main event being held in Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat.
Former Prime Minister and JD(S) National President H D Deve Gowda. has meanwhile organised protests across the state highlighting the "failures" of the B S Yedyurappa government. The Congress, the main opposition party has also drawn up agitation programmes from October two.
The BJP launched 'Operation Lotus' as the party failed to muster majority in the May election and was forced to support of independent Legislators to form the government. It has already succeeded in grabbing seven Legislators including four from JD(S) and three from Congress. All those who joined the party quitting their MLA post were reqards with Cabinet Minister.
