Atwal finishes tied 50th at the Nationwide tour

By Staff

Sandy, US, Sep 8 (UNI) Ace golfer Arjun Atwal carded a four-under 67 in the final round to finish tied 50th in the 550,000 dollar Utah Championship on the Nationwide Tour here.

Atwal, who had slumped to tied 60th after a poor round of three-over 74, signed off with his best card of the week to lift himself up in the final round.

The Orlando-based produced a improved performance as the Indian began with an eagle on the par-five opening hole.

He kept his back-nine bogey free and picked up a shot each on the 12th and 17th holes to settle for a satisfying round of 67.

Brendon Todd (262) of America blasted seven-under 64 at the Willow Creek Country Club for a comfortable six-shot win over the trio of Won Joon Lee (64), Jeff Klauk (65) and Brian Smock (66).
