Advocates ransack police station
Chennai, Sep 8 (UNI) A group of advocates today ransacked the police station in Madras High Court campus, demanding withdrawal of a case ''foisted'' against an lawyer.
The lawyers allegedly barged into the police station and damaged the furniture. They alleged that a case had been registered against an advocate by the Inspector at the police station.
The case was registered on a complaint filed by a police constable from Salem that the advocate assaulted him in front of the court hall three months back.
The advocates, led by Madras High Court Advocates Association (MHAA) President Mohanakrishnan, later locked up the police station and dispersed.
