Two arrested with 400-kg bhukki in Jammu
Jammu, Sep 7 (UNI) Two smugglers were today arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police along with 400-kilogrmas of bhukki (Poppy husk) on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Samba district, official sources here said.
''Based on a tip off, a nakka was laid on Mansar Road in Samba district and a truck loaded with Kashmiri apples, which was on its way from Anantnag to Punjab, was intercepted by the police,'' official sources told UNI.
During frisking, police recovered 400-kilogrmas of bhukki, hidden in wooden boxes while two persons including the driver were apprehended and the truck was seized, sources added.
The accused have been identified as Jaswinder Singh (driver) and his accomplice Tilak Singh case under NDPS Act has been registered against them.
