Teenage girl killed, 3 injured in Poonch blast

Jammu, Sep 7 (UNI) A teenage girl was killed while three children were injured, one of the critically, when a mysterious blast took place in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here today said.

''The mysterious blast took place at 1320 hrs when four children were playing outside their residence in remote village Chitti Bitti of tehsil Surankote,'' official sources told UNI.

A teenager girl identified as Tabia, 15, died on the spot while three children were injured, they said.

Meanwhile the injured have been identified as Sonu, Mohd Arif and Mohd. Umar.

They were immediately shifted to the sub-district hospital Surankote and later referred to the Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu, sources added.

The reason behind blast cannot be ascertained as security forces are examining the assorted material used by the injured while playing, they added.
