Dhaka, Sep 7 (UNI) Bangladesh military-backed caretaker government Chief Advisor Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will be on a four-day official visit to China from September 15 on the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
Foreign Secretary Touhid Hossain told independent news agency United News of Bangladesh (UNB) today that the Chief Advisor was scheduled to visit Beijing much earlier, but the trip was delayed due to devastating earthquake in Sichuan province and the Beijing Olympics thereafter.
''I think it is going to be a fruitful visit, he said, adding, ''We have regular and effective interactions at the leadership level of the two friendly countries.'' During the visit, Dr Ahmed will call on Chinese President Hu Jintao and hold bilateral talks with the Chinese Premier.
