K'taka: 10 held for 'luring people in conversion
Bangalore, Sep 7: Ten people were on Sunday, Sep 7 arrested on charges of 'luring' people belonging to a majority community into conversion to a particular religion by offering incentives, at Yellapur Village in Tumkur District. Police said the accused were active in 'converting' people belonging to lower caste in the village.
They allegedly preached against the beliefs of the people and promised 'material' incentives for joining their religion. The accused, all from Kerala, were staying at a place of worship outside the village.In an another incident, a place of worship was ransacked in Davanagere District, police said.
