Two held with Rs 3 lakh counterfeit currency
Panaji, Sep 6 (UNI) Police today nabbed two persons from West Bengal at Vasco-da-Gama and seized from them counterfeit currency worth Rs three lakh.
The duo, after disembarking from the Goa Express, went to a pharmacist to purchase some medicines and gave him a Rs 500 note.
But the chemist detected that it was fake and alerted the police, who arrested them and seized from them 600 fake notes of Rs 500 denomination, which were meant for circulation, police said.
