{image-sun tv_06092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Chennai, Sep 6: The Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday virtually set an ultimatum to Sun network to privide its links to the Arasu Cable TV Corporation by September 15, when it launches its services throughout the state, on the occasion of Anna's birth anniversary.

The Government, in an official release, appealed to all Cable TV operators and television network companies to extend their cooperation to the government's Arasu cable TV corporation, which was trying to provide cable TV services to the people at a lower price.

It said ''Sun TV network, which was dragging on providing links to the corporation, had said that they were ready to provide the links but the Corporation had sought time.'' This was totally false, it said adding, the Corporation had made available to Sun TV network all details sought by the company as per law. But the network was delaying the link.

At no point of time, the Corporation had sought time from Sun TV network, it said.

As decided earlier, the state government would launch the services, through control centres being set up in Chennai, Vellore and Tirunelveli, in all the southern districts, including Madurai from September 15.

The Corporation was already providing cable TV services in other parts of the state after setting up control centres in Thanjavur and Coimbatore, the release added.
