Para-medical sciences a boon for patients: Kidwai

Chandigarh, Sep 6 (UNI) Physiotherapy and other para-medical sciences have proved a boon in relieving the patients from the pain and suffering of many dreaded diseases, Haryana Governor A R Kidwai said today.

''Now these sciences have become preferred choice of the patient to get treatment of his ailments as these therapies are simple, easily available and cost effective,'' Dr Kidwai said while interacting with a group of 26 students of newly started Saket Physiotherapy College in a get-together held at Haryana Raj Bhawan.

The Governor said the course of physiotherapy had multiple job opportunity for the pass-out doctors. He advised these students to complete their four-and-a-half years course in physiotherapy with great interest which would certainly provide them a bright future.

There was a great demand of trained physiotherapists in the country at the moment, the Governor observed.
