Hot and humid day despite overnight cooling showers
New Delhi, Sept 6 (UNI) Overnight rains kept the capital cool even as the sun shone bright and humidity played spoilsport for a generally pleasant day.
According to the Met department, humidity at 95 percent kept the weather conditions irritating and troublesome for people on the street.
While the maximum temperature hovered at 34 degree Celsius, the minimum was recorded at 20.8 degrees, which was five degrees less that normal at this time of the year.
No rainfall was, however, reported from any part of the city though South Delhi did experience a shot span of drizzle in the morning, said the weatherman.
Predicting a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder showers for the next 24 hours, the weatherman said weather was likely to turn pleasant over the remaining part of the weekend.
