Hooda hails approval of Indo-US deal at Vienna
Chandigarh, Sep 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today congratulated UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for the success achieved at the Nuclear Suppliers Group's (NSG) meeting in Vienna.
In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister described it as a historic event which would prove a milestone in the process of development of the country.
It was the result of farsightedness and progressive policies of the Congress that India could achieve it, he added.
He said the people all over the world were anxiously waiting for the outcome of the NSG meeting.
Mr Hooda said the Indo-US nuclear deal would solve the problem of energy requirement in the country and usher in a new era of rapid development.
Mr Hoodas expressed the hope that now the proposed nuclear plant at Kumharia in Fatehabad district of Haryana would also be set up soon.
Member of Parliament Deepender Singh Hooda also complimented Ms Sonia Gandhi, Dr Singh and Mr Mukherjee for this major success.
