8 persons get 10 years' jail
Kurukshetra, Sep 6 (UNI) A local court awarded 10 years imprisonment to eight people on the charge of criminal murderous assault on three persons for securing a contract of the Food Corporation of India in 2002.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr Neelima Shangla pronounced the verdict yesterday against the eight people, who brutally attacked Karnail Singh, Bhupender Singh and Jaswinder Singh on August 26, 2002, to secure a transportation contract of the FCI.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on each of the convicts.
