Pondy CM, Ministers allotted portfolios

Puducherry, Sep 5 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister V Vaithilingam today retained charge of Agriculture and Finance Ministries, while allocating portfolios to his Council of Ministers.

Mr Vaithilingam will also look after General Administration, Electricity, Hindu Religious Endowment and all other portfolios not coming under any other minister.

Mr E Valsaraj has been allocated Home, Health and Family Welfare, Law, Port, Jail, Industry and Commerce, Science and Technology and Enviornment, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and Sainik Welfare.

Mr M O H F Shajahan will look after PWD, IT, Transport, Collegiate Education, Art and Culture, Government Automobiles, Wakf Board and Minority Development, while Mr Malladi Krishna Rao has been alloted Revenue, Excise, Fisheries, Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sports and Youth Affairs.

Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Adi Dravidar Welfare, Backward Class Development, Cooperation, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Labour and Employment will be headed by Mr Kandasamy.

Mr Namasivayam will head Public Health, Local Administration, Community Development, DRDA, Urban Basic Service, Fire, Housing, Town and Country Planning, Animal Husbandry, Economic and Statistics and Stationery and Printing.
