Higher reaches of tribal districts experiences mild snowfall

Shimla, Sep 5 (UNI) The higher reaches of tribal districts of Kinnauur, Chamba, Lahaul and Spiti today experinced mild snowfall and lower areas received moderate to heavy rain which dipped the temperature in the Himachal Pradesh.

Sources said the first spell of snowfall after moonsoon was experienced in th higher reaches of Kinnaur districts and Pangi and Dharamshala divisions of Chamba district. Lower parts of Chamba had heavy rains and thundershowers this afternoon.

Shimla and its adjoining areas, Dharamshala of district Kangra and Bhuntar of Kulu district received moderate to heavy rains as per reports received here this evening.

The minimum and maximum temperatures of the major towns are: Shimla 14.8 and 23,8 degrees celsuis respectively, Sundernagar 18.7 and 31.7 degrees Bhuntar 17.1 and 31.9 degrees Kalpa 7.7 and 21.9 C Dharamshala 16.3 and 8.4 degrees Celsius.

Met office perdictED rain and thundershowers at few places for the next 24 hours.
