Bangalore, Sep 5: Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa is sure different! And to prove it, he is not going-in for a hyped celebration to mark 100 days in office. Vidhana Soudha will not be decorated, no cut-outs or no buntings through-out the city, but just a simple meet to outline the achievements of the Govt till date.
Yeddyurappa government is going to present a fact-file before the public on Sept 9 regarding the implementation of its various announcements since presenting the budget. The function is going to be organised at Banquet Hall in Vidhana Soudha to distribute cheques to select beneficiaries under various schemes.
BSY will distribute cheques to five beneficiaries under schemes such as Bhagyalakshmi, Sandhya Surakasha, monthly honorarium to physically challenged, financial assistance to dry land cultivators, loan at 6 pc interest to Stree Shakti groups and professional college students, funds for seven city corporations etc. This will be telecasted live in Doordarshan.
The government will also come out with a booklet highlighting the promises made in the budget and the government notifications issued to implement the promises, sources said.
