Jaipur, Sep 5 (UNI) Four people were today nabbed in Jodhpur in connection with May 13 Jaipur serial blasts even as a local court here extended the police remand of key accused Shahbaz Hussain for three days.
A report from Jodhpur, quoting Official sources, said that Sahil, Azam, Imran and Shahid were nabbed by Crime Branch Special Investigation Team(SIT) from an old city locality near the Sojati Gate Police Chowki.
Their detention evoked protests as a group of people of a community held demonstration outside the Sojati Gate Chowki and threw stones at the police. Police used mild force to disperse them.
While Sahil and Azam were being brought Jaipur for interrogation Imran and Shahid were kept under custody in Jodhpur, the sources said.
In Jaipur, Shahbaz Hussain, a key accused in the blasts which had left 68 people dead on May 13 in the Pink City, was today produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Jaipur who extended his police custody for 3 days.
Hussain was arrested by the Rajasthan and the Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow on August 25, in connection with the May 13 blasts and was remanded in police custody till September 5.
Meanwhile, owner of a Sahibabad cyber cafe from where Hussain had allegedly sent email to media channels and the Rajasthan Police in the name of Indian Mujaheddin on May 14, owning the responsibility of Jaipur blasts, has identified Shahbaz during identification parade here yesterday.
