Street plays spread AIDS awareness

Imphal, September 4, 2008 : As a part of an AIDS awareness programme, a theatre group in Manipur Stages Street plays to educate the locals about the deadly disease.

The play titled 'Lanphamda Lan" is being performed in every nook and corner of the region. The organizers said that it is important to undertake such activities more frequently as HIV AIDS is on an increase here. Artists added that they have staged more than 300 plays in the state so far.
