Builders for Sahara City Homes at Nagpur

Mumbai, Sep 4: Sahara group under its real estate business has appointed five infrastructure and construction companies, including Sricon Infrastructure for the construction work of the proposed township Sahara City Homes in Nagpur.

Under these contracts, residential units including High rise apartment blocks, Independent row houses and bungalows are proposed to be taken up for construction as per the quality norms of Sahara City Homes. The Nagpur project is a part of Sahara City Homes, a chain of townships proposed to be developed across 217 cities across the country. Sricon Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Indian Globalization Capital Inc, is one of the selected companies appointed for construction of nine high rise apartment blocks at Nagpur.

The contract worth Rs 35 crore included structural construction of one Great (one bedroom units), four crown (two bedroom/two bedroom + Terrace/Penthouse units) and four gorgeous (two bedroom/two bedroom + Study/three bedroom/penthouse units) blocks. The work is proposed to commence by the end of this month, a company release said.

The other construction companies which are already on board are Kaybee Engineers&Construction Pvt Ltd, which is constructing high rise blocks, including three Crowns and four Gorgeous blocks, Mall Construction, which is developing one Crown and three gorgeous high rise blocks, Rana Construction constructing 56 independent semi-detached houses, while Laxmi Construction constructing 66 independent row houses and 42 independent bungalows.

These companies have been selected by Sahara on their past records and quality of work. The companies will follow ''Sahara City Homes'' quality norms and adhere to multi level quality checks as per the Bureau of Indian Standards (B.I.S) codes employed by Sahara Quality Laboratory. While the raw material for the construction is procured by Sahara, the companies have to maintain the norms for aggregates, work in progress and adhere to the architectural precisions set in Sahara Quality Lab.
