Mah govt takes guarantee for repair work of Dabhol project

Mumbai, Sep 4 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has given a guarantee for the Rs 300 crore loan that Ratnagiri Gas and Power Project Private Limited (RGPPL) needs to take from the Power Finance Corporation for purchase of spare parts needed for repair works in the project.

If the RGPPL would commence soon, it would give additional 900 MW power to the state at the rate of of Rs 3.03 per unit in order to fill the gap between demand and supply, an official release said.

Presently, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation is purchasing power at the rate of Rs 8 per unit.
