Mumbai, Sep 4 (UNI) Real estate developer Hiranandani Group has selected Hewlett Packard's (HP), Integrity Servers and Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA), to impement its SAP ECC 6.0 systems to oversee its expansion plans in the fast growing construction industry.
Announcing the selection here today, Hirnandani Group GM (IT) Joeseph Martin said, ''We needed an IT system that could seamlessly integrate the projects, logistics and finance across all locations including remote sites. It had to be cost effective with a standardized process and able to meet all deliverable prequisites of the company.' The system has been designed for the construction industry and can be configurated to suit the needs of the client. It can also be scaled up and down, upgraded without any loss in efficiency and already has 25 companies including Tata Projects, Oberoi Builders, HCC and Prestige Group among its clients.
The total installation at the Hiranandani HQ has cost the company Rs 6.5 crores with approximately 20-25 per cent of the cost being taken up by infrastructure. The system is expected to be scaled up by 30 per cent, without any upgrades to meet Hiranandani's expansion plans in the construction sector that is expected to grow at an average CAGR of 20 per cent.
The HP system has started bearing results since its installation in January 8, 2008 and is currently used by 300 of the company's employees, according to Mr Martin.
''Though the benefit of the system can only be calculated in the long term, it has already consolidated our procurement structure and enabled calculations of projected profits before we start a project,'' Mr Martin said.
Hiranandani currently has 25-30 ongoing building projects in Powai, Thane and Chennai.
