Bhopal, Sep 4 (UNI) A three-day ''Vanvasi Utsav'' will be organised here from September 22 to expose the life, culture, arts, food habits and dresses of different tribal clans in Madhya Pradesh.
Besides display and sale of tribals' traditional products, seminars and discussions focussing on tribal lifestyle and other aspects of their life would be held during the Utsav, organised by the Tribal Welfare Department. Noted litterateurs would also participate in it.
The visitors will also be able to have a glimpse of the tribals' forest-based livelihood, food habits, dances, music, art, culture and paintings. The festival is also aimed at revival of the tribals' traditional musical instruments. Besides handicraft items, tribal dances, music and instruments would also be presented.
Photographs of anicent murals found in the forests would also be on display, official sources said.
Tribal delicacies including 'laddus' made of Mahua flower would also be a special attraction for the visitors. Books on tribal martyrs, warriors and artistes, besides folk literature would also be displayed.
Ornaments worn on head, neck, arms, back, hands, feet and fingers would be exhibited. Other attractions include tribal art of dyeing clothes, painting, 'Alpana', 'Rangoli', henna application, bamboo products, wood and leaves, incense sticks and candles, the sources added.
