Explosion in high court building
Bilaspur, Sep 4 (UNI) Panic prevailed in the Chhattisgarh High Court here today following a loud explosion on the terrace of the judges chamber.
No causalty was reported in the incident that took place around 1100 hours, police said.
Court sources said that the loud bang disrupted the hearings of nearby two court rooms located on the first floor of the old building. Judges immediately suspended hearings and returned to their rooms.
Panic triggered among the people.
Police personnel encircled the building and started search which revealed that a cracker was exploded.
''Further investigation is in progress ,'' Inspector General of Police Rajiv Chandra Shrivastav told UNI.
Court sources said that Chief Justice has expressed his concern over the incident despite having tight security in the court premises.
