Mumbai, Sept 4 (UNI) Ross Turner, the Cricket Australia's (CA) International Development Program Manager has concluded a six-day educational training for umpires here.
''The coaching to them is an ongoing process. We had some very useful sessions with them,'' Mr Turner said before leaving for Bangladesh, where too, he is scheduled to conduct such interactions.
The BCCI and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have tied up with the Cricket Australia for organising such training sessions to improve the standard of umpiring in their countries.
A total of 27 State cricket association beginner umpires attended the training programme. A team headed by Ross Turner will again be in India later this month to conduct a programme in Bangalore's National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Turner, along with Darren Goodger and Graham Chudleigh were in Mumbai and they gave future perspectives and an educational programme on umpiring at length.
''This time in Bangalore, we shall have interactions with more than 100 Indian umpires. They will be divided into three groups and sessions will be addressed by experts,'' Mr Turner said.
