BSNL extends last date of telephone bill payment
Srinagar, Sep 4: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended the pay by date of telephone bills in the Kashmir valley.
As the subscribers could not deposit their telephone bills of landlines because of curfew and strike, the BSNL authorities decided to extend the last payment date, officials said.
They said the last date of bills for landline phones has been extended till September 29, now.
However, the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and other insurance companies in the valley were charging late fee from their customers.
The agitated customers declaring this as totally unjustified said how was it possible for them to deposit the premium when the insurance offices were closed.
They threatened to move to consumer and other courts against the insurance companies for charging late fees.
