UP CM appeals donation for Bihar in CM Calamity Relief Fund
Lucknow, Sep 3 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today appealed to the people of the state to donate liberally in UP Chief Minister Calamity Relief Fund and help the people of Bihar affected from menacing floods.
Ms Mayawati said a large number of people of many districts of Bihar were affected from the flood of Kosi river. The deluge has not only rendered them shelter-less, but also caused a massive human and property loss.
The UP government and people of the state were with the people of Bihar during this hour of National Calamity and fully committed to lend all kind of help to the flood victims, she added.
Apprising that the amount being given in UP Chief Minister Calamity Relief Fund would be completely free from Income Tax under the section of Income Tax Act-80 G(2)(iii)(hf), Ms Mayawati appealed to the people to send the amount for helping flood victims through Bank Draft or Cheque at the address of Chief Minister Calamity Relief Fund, Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan (Annexe), Lucknow.
