No Dengue deaths in Delhi this year: MCD health officer
New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) There have been no deaths from Dengue in Delhi this year, MCD chief health officer N K Yadav said today.
Speaking at the MCD Standing committee meeting, Mr Yadav said although this year the number of those suffering from Dengue has risen to 92, from the figure of 45 during the corresponding period last year.
''However, there is till now no official confirmation of any death from the disease,''Mr Yadav said.
The maximum impact of Dengue this year has been from Nazafgarh and West zones, which reported 15 cases each.
Mr Yadav said several measures were being taken by the MCD to prevent the spread of the dengue virus, including checking of premises for mosquito breeding.
