Haryana's 'Job Melas' provide employment to ITI students
Faridabad, Sep 3 (UNI) As many as 1044 students of ITI, Faridabad got jobs in different reputed industrial establishments located in Haryana and nearby states during the 'Job Mela' which was organised here last month.
The 'Mela' was organised by the Haryana Industrial Training and Vocational Education Department from August 18 to 20.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman of the Department said that three 'Job Melas' had been organised in three different ITIs for placement of students this year. The first such Mela was organised from May 5 to 7 in ITI Gurgaon and from May 26 to 28 at Karnal and then at Faridabad.
He said that as many as 500 students got jobs in the 'Mela' at Gurgaon and 1229 at the 'Mela' in Karnal.
The students who were selected by the industrial establishments had passed out from ITIs in different trades.
He said that it was the first opportunity to provide jobs to ITI passed out students through 'Job Melas' which was fruitful and hence, the department had decided to organise more such 'Melas'.
