Bhopal, Sep 3 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today claimed that tremendous enthusiasm could be seen among common people and women over the 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' being taken out in the state.
''This enthusiasm indicates positive response of people towards work done by the government. It also indicates the mood before the next assembly elections,'' Mr Chouhan said during an informal discussion with reporters at his residence here today.
He said work done by the government would be the main poll plank during the next assembly polls.
Asserting that constitution of new divisions, districts and tahsils was necessary for better administration, Mr Chouhan pointed out that it was the first step towards decentralisation.
About allegations levelled by the Congress regarding the failure of the government on the fronts of power, road and water, he said statistics proved that lot of improvement had taken place on these fronts during the rule of present government.
He said the present government had performed better in these areas than the previous government.
Regarding the presence of the BSP during the next assembly polls, the Chief Minister said the BJP would be benefited by its presence. Similarly, any alliance between the Congress and the SP would go in the favour of the party.
