Third Front to protect nation's sovereignty: CPI
Vijayawada, Sep 2 (UNI) CPI Andhra Pradesh unit Secretary K Narayana today said the formation of a Third Front was necessary to solve people's problems and protect the sovereignty of the country.
Inaugurating a one-day workshop for partymen here, organised by the party's city-unit, he said the Third Front was an alternative to both the Congress and BJP at the national level.
Alleging that the UPA at the Centre had won the trust vote by spending crores of rupees for purchasing MP's from other parties with the help of the Samajwadi Party and Reliance company, he said the government had also diverted an EPF amount of Rs 2,50,000 cr to Reliance for its support.
He also alleged that there was no clarity in BJP's stand on the contentious nuclear deal. Both the Congress and BJP were supporting the deal.
Alleging that black marketing was the cause of price hike and shortage of fertilizers and seeds, he said CPI workers had raided several godowns in the state and seized a huge quantity of illegally stored fertilizers and seeds. This was handed over to government officials, he added.
The raid would continue till the problem was solved, he said.
