Take stern action against those guilty of inciting violence: NCM

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Expressing deep concern over reports of violence against Christians in Orissa, the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) today appealed to the Government of the state to take stern action against those guilty of inciting violence.

''Senseless acts of violence targeting specific sections of society only strain the fragile polity and expose the Indian state to greater danger. The commission appeals to the Government to take stern action against those guilty of violence,''the NCM said.

The commission has also appealed to the state Government to involve all NGOs and civil society groups in the urgent task of relief and rehabilitation.
